I see this problem as well. I think it is a driver issue. I've also tried using this camera from INDIGO and had nothing but problems with it there. They got ZWO support to work with me and they have made some driver changes but it is still flaky. At least on INDI it works except for exposures less than a second, which is all I need.

Ah! I bet there was some compile flag that controls this feature. Maybe it was set for the Apple silicon builds but not for Intel.

I have the exact same build on my Mac and I don't see it. What macOS are you running? I have the most recent Sonoma 14.4.1 on an Intel iMac. Here is what the View menu looks like:
As best I can tell, the limits are not stored with the profile. When I make a change, it appears in all profiles. It does seem like it should be per profile, but I guess not.

FWIW: I'm not seeing that problem on the Mac version of KStars/Ekos. I've changed the values several times and it is always remembered next time I start up.
