Upgraded Kstars - awful colors, help needed

Hi!
I just upgraded one of my Stellarmates and got a new version of Kstars. And the color scheme is flat out terrible. See here:

No matter how I change color schemes or themes, this quite useless blue color stays on the sky. Anyone can help me get back to a black or white sky? (Star chart color scheme is slightly better but far from what I want)

Uncheck simulate daytime in kstars settings -> guides.

Hi!

Thanks. That did it.

Is this a new feature, simulate daytime? In summer, here, I guess we have "daytime" the whole night.....

It is new in this version. You can also click an icon above the skymap to toggle "simulate daytime" (it is 7th from the right on your screenshot).
Once you toggle it off, it will be remembered and stay off until you turn it back on.

Hy

PS Needless to say, at night-time (when the kstars clock is set to nighttime for the kstars geography) the SkyMap sky will be the old dark colors, even with "Simulate Daytime" enabled.

It's also 'off' if you activate HiPS overlay....
I had already been wondering why, on startup, the BG always flashes blue for a short moment before the DSS is shown... :D
