The EKOS Focus panel has lost all the Tools controls.

Was this meant to happen?

Well then this new feature has broken the focuser. Because I can only press the In or Out focus buttons once and then they remained greyed out and I can never change focus again. This is true of manual and autofocus.

This is true of local or remote indi server.

Even hitting the stop focus button or setting the motion time value to it's lowest value (5) doesn't work.

The only way I can focus now is via the indi focus panel.

Also there are control glitches in the now focuser options as exampled next:

In the following screen shots the Outstep multiple does not reposition itself and begins hidden under other controls and the panel needs to be expanded ridiculously in order to see everything correctly.

I would like to try re-install the previous version 3.6.8 and just properly test that something else hasn't changed on my system but I'm not sure how to do that.

Hi Walter,

I've fixed the In / Out / Goto buttons issue if you pull master.

I can't reproduce the widget glitch in your screenshot. Do you have a series of actions that can reproduce it?

Regards,
John.

Nice. Thanks.

Regarding the widget that isn't anchoring correctly. Not really it just does that, all the time, I've never seen it behave properly.

More concern regarding the focus buttons.

I use them a lot because the focuser on the DSLR camera suffers from slip so consistent increments don't result in consistent movement causing curve calculations to suffer.

It gets close but then I finish up manually.

Thanks for the fix.

Is there any expected time the focus button fix will make it into the mainline?

Hi Walter,

If you mean the in / out / goto buttons I fixed that on 8th Feb. 3.7.0 was cut on 1st April so it will be there.

I believe I've fixed the widget rendering issue you were getting as well but I can't be 100% as it didn't really appear on Mac where I develop. If you still get a problem please let me know.

Unfortunately then it doesn't appear to be fixed.

Hi Walter,

I just tried the in / out and goto buttons on my test system and they can all be pressed multiple times. Can you let me know how you produce the issue and ideally can you send a log with verbose focus checked.

I can see what the problem is. Previously I fixed this for "absolute" focusers but not "relative" ones (which is what you have with your DSLR).

I've just tested a change which should work (although I don't have a DSLR myself so can't be 100% sure). Its merging now so will be in 3.7.1 which will be released beginning of June.

Hopefully this will fix it but let me know if you still have problems.
