Nothing in the file indicates a meridian flip occurred at all. At any rate, I've this happen sometimes but rarely. I believe it might be due to EQMod model. I added an option in GIT now to reset mount model after a meridian flip is complete, this might help. I should be able to test it once I get my observatory up and running again with the new EQ8.
I had the same problem with the meridian flip last night. I did have reset mount model after a meridian flip enabled. Kstars log showed nothing but guide data. What would be the best logs to diagnose this problem?
Wait for the 2.8.4, there was a problem with the mount reset. I've been imaging for the last 3 nights so I tested everything thoroughly and fixed many issues. I think the final part is better detection of stars in the guiding stage, this tends to fail the most.
I am still having meridian flip issues. I am using kstars-bleeding 2.8.5 Build: 2017-10-02T20:50:48Z from lupinix fedora repro. Attached are the kstar logs. The flip starts about T05:09:04. Also attached are pre and post flip images.
