So I removed both sensors, booted the device, launched Ekos, and the Dome tab was still there.
So it's not the simple fact to have the sensors physically connected that triggers the Dome module but must be in the the drivers themselves somewhere. (Or something else).
It's not the connected devices that open the tabs, but loading/connecting to the driver. So you can keep them connected, but remove the driver from the profile. Removing them one at a time should tell you which one causes the dome tab to open.
Once you found the 'guilty' one check in its INDI tab if anything refers to the dome.
It's my belief that weather monitoring is part of the observatory module. If you collect weather metrics (by having weather sensors, or using weather drivers) then you will always get the observatory module visible.
Half of the feature of the Dome tab is to monitor weather (in order to close the shutter on the Dome and park the dome and telescope). You should be seeing this as a feature and not a bug.
Click on the Dome tab, you will see half of the screen is the Weather telemetry, and half is the Dome operation (which will be greyed out in your case because you don't have a dome).
Maybe they'll change the icon image to make it better to understand, maybe they'll separate the Weather / Dome modules.
I guess your previous post above had nailed it quite well: It's actually not a 'dome tab', but an 'observatory tab', or maybe 'environment tab'. (I've never seen it, as I so far don't have more than the temperature sensors from the focusers...)
After all, the good thing about tabs is that you don't have to click them, and you don't lose space on the screen....
