Same here:
cmake -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=/usr -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Debug ~/Projects/indi-3rdparty/indi-eqmod

AHPGT not found. Please install libahp_gt-dev

I found my fault:
I must build and install libahp-gt prior to indi-eqmod
