Not sure if this is a problem after the update to (stable) 3.6.7 or whether it is coincidentally a fault with the camera.
Here is a flat frame taken with 3.6.6:

And with 3.6.7:

The shadow is present regardless of whether there is a telescope or lens attached. The shadow is always at the same side and is independent of the camera rotation if attached to a telescope. It is making processing difficult. This is from a dark site:



Before I send the camera away for a -possibly lengthy and expensive- repair, could anyone confirm this being a software fault by taking a flat frame with a veTEC571 (omegonpro driver/library) using 3.6.7 using the INDI from the stable PPA with which it is shipped?

OK, so it seems that the latest driver/SDK is buggy and is responsible for producing uneven frames.

Workaround?
Roll back to the SDK/library library shipped with 3.6.6:

3.6.7 SDK: libomegonprocam.so.54.23231
3.6.6 SDK: libomegonprocam.so.54.22587

Not sure if there's a more elegant way to do this; I just copied the old sdk to the same folder as the new and changed the symbolic link to make /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu look like this:

This flat bug should be fixed with the latest driver update. still waiting for the newest commit to be merged into master.
