Just an update - this is working now! Apparently I needed to use the Nikon driver and not the gphoto ccd driver.
Thanks for the help Jasem!

Just bought/installed Stellarmate OS today in hopes that it would work with my Nikon D7000 with Shoestring DSUSB shutter cable. This cable works great with other applications. No such luck with Indi/Stellarmate. I followed the indilib site directions by setting the gphoto shutter control port to ‘DSUSB’ and reconnecting but no luck. ‘Connected to DSUSB’ appears in the log but the shutter will not fire, nor does the DSUSB light turn green. This happens both on macOS an raspberry pi, anyone out there have this working?

For what it's worth, I took a quick look at the INDIGO driver source - unfortunately it depends on a closed-source library so I'm not sure there's much to be learned there. Is there a debug log or something I can provide that would help?
Thanks,
Nick

Possibly! I'm quite new to all this. Perhaps it would be worth having a look at the Indigo driver (which seems to work fine w/ CloudMakers stuff). I'm not quite clear on the compatibility differences between INDI and INDIGO.
