Hi fine folks. The topic title sort of tells the whole story. I've been nosing about re: INDI this evening, and it looks like there are drivers out there to tie a Dobsonian scope into the system. I just wondered how important precise leveling is for that? My potential observing locations are fairly flat - one's a patio, for instance - but I'm sure they're not precisely flat - I imagine the patio has a slight slope for water drainage. when setting up a Dob will I have to measure this, or do the calibration procedures "handle it"?
I'm an engineer living in the Houston, Texas area. I have a 14" Dobsonian with motor drives, and am interested in setting up computer control of the scope and also imaging equipment.
