That seems to have got it thanks. Away from home at the moment so no scopes/ccd’s connected will try when I return.
Much appreciated thanks again

I tried to create the sym link thus
sudo ln -s /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libnova-0.14.so.0 -> /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libnova-0.16.so.0
and keep getting permission denied, guess I`m doing something wrong

Hi Guys
Just installed Kstars bleeding on a new Kubuntu 18.04 installation, I installed the Atik indi driver atikccd-1.26-amd64.deb from Cloudmasters but keep getting a crash when running the Atik local server in Device manager. The indi crash log is-

It seems libnova 0.14 is the problem but I`ve tried an older 32 bit version and it makes no difference, any ideas please?
thanks

Seems to work ok if I choose `Custom` and set the RA slew and Dec slew to say x8 or x16 then I can slew with the joystick!

Hi
Trying my Kubuntu 17.04 (Kstars bleeding) setup tonight with my NEQ6 mount. I seem unable to tweak the mount with the hand controller as the slew rate keeps going back to x1?.
If I set the slew rate to say x16 and push the joystick North it works ok but when I let go or move the joystick South,West or East the slew rate drops to x1?.
The Indi control panel is showing the joystick works ok by indicating
2017-05-30T22:10:11: North Slew stopped
2017-05-30T22:10:10: Starting North slew.
2017-05-30T22:10:09: South Slew stopped
2017-05-30T22:10:08: Starting South slew.
etc etc .
How can I keep the slew rate fixed so that I can use the joystick ok or is there some other setting I need to make please as I`m using a refractor and its not easy to try and tweak the mount using the N,S,E and W buttons in Ekos on the laptop same time as looking through the finder.
thanks

Thanks for that nmac, never done a sym link before so I assume its like
ln -s source_file myfile
where source would be libnova-0.14.0-2.1 and myfile would be libnova0.16-2
thus ln -s libnova-0.14.0-2.1 libnova0.16-2 ?
thanks

Tried latest 32bit and 64 bit Atik drivers from CloudMakers and not sure what to try next. Wondering if these drivers have been tested with 17.04?
thanks

I seem to have sorted this problem...I think?. If I right click on the Sky Atlas I can select the Lodestar ccd, connect to it and then launch Ekos seems to work ok but If I try to connect to the Lodestar through Ekos it crashes every time??.
