I took the sd card out of the Raspberry Pi and mounted it on a Linux box, and grepped for "ekoslive" in /var/log/syslog. This revealed the following endlessly repeating pattern:

A year ago I bought StellarMateOS 1.5.6 and put it on a Raspberry Pi and it worked nicely with the Android app.
Today I stupidly did an apt-get update && apt-get upgrade in the terminal within VNC, which fully borked the thing, so deciding to re-download the original image led me to see there was an updated image, 1.7.0 available.
I put the 32bit-variant on the SD card but it doesn't seem to start correctly. It does provide the WiFi network without interruptions but the app claims Ekos hasn't started and the diagnostics web ui at 10.250.25.1 responds with 'Failed' wherever I click. I also tried the 64bit variant, but no luck.
Does anyone know what I could do to solve this?

So I need spacers to 55mm (55-40=15mm left)? So what is wrong with my calculations then?

I'm really new to this kind of camera, so, no, not silly! Please ask every question.
The exposure time is set to 1. When I change it to shorter times, the feed becomes darker (first yellow, then blue) and spotted, but I don't see any details.

Hi,
I attached a ZWO ASI 120MM-C to a William Optics Spacecat (F4.9) with a 40 mm extension tube in between. The Spacecat has 77.7 mm back focus, excluding 24 mm of rings behind the point indicated in a diagram, and the sensor sits 12.5 mm inside the camera, so I thought I could compensate for the remaining 1,2 mm by adjusting the focus on the Spacecat.

However, when I turn on Ekos during daylight, all I see is a white image, which turns dark when I cover the lens with my hand. At night it is completely black, no matter how I adjust the focus.
Did I understand this wrong, or do I need to change some settings in Ekos?

Yesterday I also updated my SkyGuider with iOptron's iPolar scope for better polar alignment. Unfortunately, I don't have a clear sky today to test that out.....
