Unable to collect Dark Frames

Hi All

First time asking a question, so far any issues I have had getting into astrophotography and setting up StellarMate has been answered in this forum so thanks for your help so far.

Have run into a current issue that no one else seems to have asked, so think I must just be missing something obvious.

My Gear
Canon 500D
Ekos on Mac remotely connected to Rig using the StellarMate OS on an RPI4.
Skywatcher AZ-GTI with EQ wedge
Skywatcher 50ed

The issue:
Can collect light frames and tried to capture some darks at the end of the session.

Light capture is all good but when it gets to the darks the nothing happens. The log says that standard comment at the start of each sequence “60s images, 0/20 collected” but after that nothing until I stop the sequence after 5-10 mins of waiting. The indicator near the progress says either says “idle” or “preparing”.

Tried to load darks into the sequence both on their own and after collecting lights but get the same response.

Thought maybe a pop up was going to appear that tells me to put the dust cap on or something but can’t find anything.

Please tell me the obvious thing I have missed :)

Thanks all.
Cheers

Devon

Hello Devon and welcome to INDI forums. What versions of KStars and SM OS are you using? There is nothing special about dark frames that warrants this wait unless you get this popup dialog that asks you to cover the scope. A known issue of MacOS users is that some popup dialogs get "hidden" behind other windows like Ekos, so I'd drag windows around to see if there are any confirmation dialogs waiting for confirmation.
