Some focusers are able to rotate, like this one of my RC8. A solution like this one imgur.com/a/avYSxME www.teleskop-express.de/shop/product_info.php/info/p5769
Just create a bracket that is locked on the mobile side and create a geared ring and fix it on the fixed side of the focuser .
I was unable to create the indi driver
So... Did anyone ever figure out how to make a DIY rotator?
I'm not scared of the mechanics, as an engineer with a 3D printer I can work my way through that, but I am struggling to find arduino firmware or a framework to build arduino firmware from.
I gave up multiple times. Still want to figure it out. My last idea was the OnStep LX200 but it is not possible to select Onstep for rotator/focuser and my EQMod mount for a mount. Tried with Nitecrawler for a while but I never got it working correctly.
