Hi all,
if using Kstars and Ekos under gnome desktop (Ubuntu 16.04.2), every time you click on the little folder icon to chose a destination, the indi server gets disconnected.
It is reproducible even using simulators.
Changing the desktop manager on the same computer solves it.
To be perfectly honest with you, I wouldn't worry about it. I just reported it here cause I didn't see it, and it's a good info t have in case you stumble upon it, that a simple DE change can solve it.
IMHO, you shouldn't use gnome for astro work anyway
It's possible it's some kind of dbus abuse from gnome, just a thought...
I do confirm this on gnome desktop running on Ubuntu 16.04.2
This happens only in when KStars is started on a desktop and connects to a remote INDI server. It does not happen on RPi which runs both KStars and INDI locally.
I was not successful to identify the root cause though.
