I have been trying to run my qhy8l in ekes but for some reason it doesn't see the camera. Can anyone help me please?. It works fine in Windows but want to move away .
I just added this device ids to the rules file, so hopefully with tomorrow's update it can help. I emailed QHY to verify that this is indeed the same firmware as the 6004.
Thanks for the reply but still unable to get QHY8L to work. I'm now using Ekos VM but get the following message when trying to connect. It looks like its looking for the wrong device but unsure on how to correct it.
Thanks in advance.

Maybe it's still a permission problem with your udev rules. Try running indiserver as root and then connect to it from KStars. If that works then it's definitely a permission issue.
