I updated /upgraded the Altair drivers recently which got my GPCAM 1 working that I use for guiding. But the Hypercam 183 keeps crashing and still can't complete an exposure and it's getting annoying haha. Am I doing something wrong or is there something else I need to do? Could it be the firmware of the Hypercam?
I did the update yesterday (26th January) the GPCAM now works where as before none of my Altair cameras would. Just the Hypercam 183 keeps crashing now. I'm using ubuntu mate.... Would this cause issues?
Ok, please try next nightly it should fix this. or compile from GIT. I just tested 183 with another user and it works fine. The only caveat now is that you cannot have another altair cam connected at the same time. I reported this issue to Nick so hopefully he can follow up with it.
Hi jasem thank you so much for your reply. The GPCAM works well. Instead of teamviewing into the pi I used indi Web and it seems more stable. I connect the Hypercam sometimes it crashes with a message about the port number which I can't remember from the top of my head... 7624 maybe sometimes it doesn't. When I try to set some options the button at the side goes yellow instead of green.
When I try to take a photo it doesn't complete. Will the command sudo apt - get upgrade get me the new nighty?
I ran an update on the 26th which got my GPCAM 1 working but the Hypercam isn't. I'm thinking shall I purge kstars, ekos etc. Reinstall and only connect the Hypercam?
